The year 2010 should be a busy and an exciting one for travel. I will be leading three garden tours for Renaissance Tours: China in March, Bali in July and Tasmania in November China: 26th March –11th April 2010 China is now fully booked and Renaissance Tours have opened a waiting list for a possible second tour. The main itinerary includes gardens and other attractions in Shanghai, Suzhou, Nanjing and Beijing. The Yellow Mountain Extension is going ahead with 16 people confirmed. I’ll be joining as a visitor which is very exciting as this is a remote and beautiful part of China which I’ve never visited. Having no head for heights I might have to close my eyes in the cable car! Tour Prices: Per person, twin share $5,450 Single supplement $ 930

Bali: July 2010
Meanwhile I have just returned from Bali. This island paradise is a wonderful destination for tropical garden lovers, with its fertile volcanic soil and plentiful rainfall. We saw many brilliant gardens, including temple, traditional compound, hotel gardens and several special private gardens never opened before which we’re hoping to include in the itinerary, as well as lots of other amazing things to do!
The tour is planned for mid/late July and will include time in Sanur and Ubud.
Finally, Tasmania in November, the most beautiful time of year to visit some of the island’s historic and cool climate gardens.
